Cat Not Nice

To the tune of "Mack the Knife" from Threepenny Opera by Kurt Weil

When the cat gnaws
on your ankles
it can give you
quite a fright.

For she suffers
not fools gladly
and won’t give them
much delight.

Ask a question,
“What's a cat’log?”
and you're in for
quite a bite.

But she’ll treat you
as a comrade
if you ask your
question right.

LC filing
quite escapes her
that’s why online
is so fine.

But the content
isn’t kept there
so she'll gnaw you
if you opine.

Sulky Gray Cats
cannot stand twits
so they tell them
not to whine.

If their ankles
should get shredded
to their fate they
should resign.

When the cat gnaws
on your ankles
it can give you
quite a fright.

For she suffers
not fools gladly
and won’t give them
much delight.
