We have often wondered how the cow's horn got crumpled; now we know.

This is the cow with the crumpled horn
That tossed the dog that worried the cat
That killed the rat that ate the malt
That lay in the house that Jack built.

This cartoon was inspired by a recent Drum Corps International competition here in Pittsburgh, in which one of the teams simply left all their instruments lying in the field, and lined up around the edges; part of their performance was to deftly take the field and snab their instruments, all gracefully and on the beat.
