The sign is authentic, and is from a photo taken at the ferry landing at Port Townsend, WA.  "Skateboarding" is the riding of skateboards, but "Skate boarding" suggests the above illustration.  Apparently this is a jitney skate, and is not licensed to provide service to this dock.
