As Little Gray Cat's treatment proceeds to Plan D, she prepares for the future |
|
The plans were:
A. Two-port chemotherapy, which was eliminated because there was too much scar
tissue to insert the abdominal port
B. Single-port, Taxol + Carboplatin, infused on one day, which was eliminated
because of an allergic reaction to Taxol
C. Slow-infusion Taxol over 24 hours, which was eliminated because of the
allergic reaction to Taxol, even at reduced levels
D. Taxotere, a Taxol-like drug without the Cremophor stabilizer (which was the
source of the allergic reaction)
